Messy Room by Shel Silverstein
Whosever room this is should be ashamed!
His underwear is hanging on the lamp.
His raincoat is there in the overstuffed chair,
And the chair is becoming quite mucky and damp.
His workbook is wedged in the window,
His sweater's been thrown on the floor.
His scarf and one ski are beneath the TV,
And his pants have been carelessly hung on the door.
His books are all jammed in the closet,
His vest has been left in the hall.
A lizard named Ed is asleep in his bed,
And his smelly old sock has been stuck to the wall.
Whosever room this is should be ashamed!
Donald or Robert or Willie or--
Huh? You say it's mine? Oh, dear,
I knew it looked familiar!

Hi My name’s Peter. I’m a college freshmen and I live in a hostel. I’m a scrawny person. Sometimes, I’m garrulous but most of the time I’m taciturn and rather aloof.
My mood is sullen and I act withdrawn. It’s hard for me to concentrate and I drop things on the floor all the time.
Do you dare to see what lurks in my room?
I haven’t done the washing-up for almost 7 days now and you can imagine the pile of dishes in my sink. Dirty dishes are stacked on the bedside table, too. There is a clutter of bottles in my closet and clutter on my desk, too! Even mold is starting to grow on my half-eaten pizza! Many pieces of paper are thrown on the floor, dirty clothes and shoes are scattered everywhere! Stinky, mildewed towels! And these weird-looking bugs stuck in the bin, must be cockroaches! Oh, my God! I need to take prompt actions before everything goes out of control (It has already gone!) and my mother gets furious with me. She is coming to see me in the hostel after 3 days. I have only 3 days to sort out this mess.
