A large community of expatriates has settled here.

An expatriate (in abbreviated form, expat) is someone who lives in another country by choice.

- temporarily or permanently residing in a country and culture other than that of the person's upbringing. The word comes from the Latin terms ex ("out of") and patria ("country, fatherland").

*The word used to mean to get kicked out of your native country but it took a turn and now refers to people who left without getting kicked out.
